Dr. Kathleen Herne attended the University of Dallas, where she graduated with honors. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Texas at the Houston Health Science Center. After finishing an Internal Medicine Internship at Loyola University in Chicago, Dr. Herne entered a two-year clinical research fellowship in Dermatology and Virology at the University of Texas at Galveston. She served her Dermatology Residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she was Chief Resident. At the University of California in San Francisco, she completed a comprehensive Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship, including Mohs, laser, and cosmetic procedures. She has been published in several medical publications.

Dr. Herne is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
